District Volunteer Form

Click here to download the School District of Washington volunteer form. Please complete the form and return it to our Human Resources Department.

Make a Difference, Be a Volunteer!

Dear Volunteer:

Volunteers are an important component of the learning environment. We recognize these efforts play a huge role in the success of our students. We encourage those who volunteer to continue these efforts and others who wish to begin service to pursue this idea.

Due to Board safety policies and procedures it is required that all volunteers complete a Volunteer Form each school year.   The District will determine when a Criminal Background Check is due for each volunteer.  A Criminal Background Check is a search of the Missouri Highway Patrol’s criminal database and Sex Offender Registry, as well as the Central Registry of Child Abuse and Neglect of the Children’s Division of the Department of Social Services.  It is completed for each volunteer every three years.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete a Volunteer Form in full and return it to the school office in which you wish to volunteer at least two weeks in advance of volunteering. The District must receive the results of the background check and officially approve the volunteer before service may begin.  Please do not submit duplicate forms and be advised that it is recommended that you keep a copy of your dated Volunteer Form.

Upon approval, your volunteer badges will be sent to each school in which you have applied.  These volunteer badges are to be kept in the school office.   Upon entering the school building for volunteer service, please see the school secretary or office personnel to sign in and pick up your badge.   Upon leaving, volunteers must sign out and leave their badge.

The District may decline the offer of any volunteer for legal reason.  All information collected on volunteers will be considered confidential to the extent allowed by law and will only be used to protect the students or minimize disruption to the educational environment.

We appreciate your efforts in ensuring that our schools are a safe place for kids to learn and grow.  Should there be any questions regarding this policy or procedure, please contact the Personnel and Support Services Department at 636-231-2020.  I sincerely thank you for your support of our District.

Best Regards,

Dr. Rachael Franssen
